Qualifying

Step 1 – Qualifying
ASI’s expert staff will prepare an application for the program at no charge. In order to complete the application, basic company financial and employment information will be required. Following approval, the company can immediately begin the second stage of the program.

PRE-REQUISTITES FOR FIRMS

The company must be:

  • A domestic manufacturer or service firm.
  • In business for at least two consecutive years.
  • An autonomous legal entity.

ELIGIBILITY RQUIREMENTS

There are no costs involved for a manufacturer/service firm to see if they are eligible for assistance through TAAF, which means they can apply at no risk.

ASI looks for a decline in sales or production and employment due, directly or in part, to foreign competition. We do this through financial and employment data provided to us by the manufacturer. There are many permutations to these very simply outlined requirements and for this reason we ask companies not to self-assess themselves out of the program. Seasoned ASI Project Managers are skilled at the various interpretations of the eligibility requirements and act as your firm’s advocate. Contact our project managers today to see if you qualify for benefits through TAAF.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Information contained in the application will remain confidential, will only be used for the express purpose of acquiring funds through the program and is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act. Once the application is submitted, only the firm’s name, address and short product line description will be published in The Federal Register in a listing of potential program participants (sample listing). If you have any remaining questions or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us.
